Lease Agreement E-Sign Rules for Guarantors
Lease agreements are important documents that all tenants must sign in order to validate their tenancy. As of today, it is now possible for tenants and landlords to sign lease agreements electronically, so no physical copies need to be signed, witnessed, or otherwise notarized.
For many tenants, this is a convenient and secure way to sign a lease. However, it is important to note that guarantors of the lease agreement (someone who assumes responsibility for the tenant's obligations under the lease) cannot currently sign the lease agreement electronically.
