Introducing our new Default Rules feature, designed to allow you to pre-set different default values inside three sections on RoomMate Estelle. Here's how you can maximise its potential:

"Default Rules" is a new section that allows you to set different default values. You will find three sections: Property, Channel Manager, and Leases. Any value you save here will be set as a default in the respective places. Let's explain each section in more detail.

Property:

In this section, you can set default rules for your new properties. This means that the next time you or someone on your team creates a new property, these values will be pre-filled.

Here is an example:

Channel Manager:

In this section, you can manage the bills included in the rent or flat fees of the property. These changes will be reflected in four sections: Properties, Margins, Leases, and Channel Manager. It's important to know that each case affects them differently. Let's explain them:

  • For bills included in the rent:

These changes are retroactive. After saving your new values:

    • For Properties and Leases:

A warning will appear if the rent amount you are adding is lower than the gross amount of the bills set here. Please note that this warning doesn't block you from saving your property.

    • For Margins:

The rent amount will be adjusted to subtract the gross amount, and this value will be set in the Flat Fees row.

    • For Channel Manager:

You can now specify which bills are included in the rent amount and we will send the gross amount set here as a flat fee value.

  • For bills included in flat fees:

These values will be retroactive only for properties with flat fees that are equal to or greater than the gross amount set here. The following changes will be applied:

    • For Properties and Leases:

When adding a new property or lease, you will find a new flat fee in the Lease Income section with your set values.

    • For Margins:

There are no changes reflected in this section.

    • For Channel Manager:

Similar to before, it depends on whether the flat fees are enough to cover the gross amount. We will specify the list of bills included.

Leases:

This last section does not affect retroactive changes. Any value you set here will be pre-filled by default in your next lease creations.

Here is an example:

These are the new changes available for you. We hope you find them useful and that they help streamline your workflow. Please let us know your comments about the feature and give us a ranking in the section below.
